Joe is married and a father of 2 children at the McAuliffe School. He has been an involved parent through their school PTO since his 2nd grader began school. He is also scholarship chairman for the East End Club in Lowell.

Cecilia Okafor became an active member of CPC after running as a candidate for school committee two years ago. She currently has one child attending Lowell High School and others who are alums.

Teresa Colena became involved in the CPC as the school representative last year. She has two sons who attend the J.G. Pyne Arts Magnet School, and a three-year old daughter. She previously served as the parent representative of the Superintendent Search Committee in the selection of Dr. Chris Augusta-Scott.

A three-term member of the Lowell School Committee, Jackie Doherty first became involved in the Citywide Parent Council when her eldest entered kindergarten at the Bailey School in 1998. She served as chair in 2003, which was also the first year she ran for school committee, and she continues to be involved in the CPC as the school committee liaison. Jackie has two children in the schools: a son at Lowell High School and a daughter at the Daley Middle School.
